Description
The oval ceramic photo is the shape most people know from crosses and memorials. Its rounded outline frames a portrait naturally and softens the presence of the plaque on the stone, which is why it suits simple marble crosses and newer granite memorials alike.
It is also a safe choice when you are not sure where to begin: if the memorial has no ready‑made recess, an oval looks right in any case. It is sometimes called a medallion — it is the same product.
Sizes
- 10x8 cm — Discreet, for tight recesses or as a second photo.
- 12.5x9.5 cm — The classic size: the face is clearly visible up close, and the plaque leaves room for the inscription.
- 15x11 cm — For wider memorials, where the portrait needs to be recognisable from a few steps away.
- 18x13 cm — A clear presence, for tall or massive stones.
The price covers all the work on the photograph: restoring old or damaged photos, colourising black‑and‑white images, retouching the face and cutting a person out of a group photo. Before firing you receive a preview and can ask for changes.
The image is applied to the plaque as a ceramic decal and fired at over 800°C. It is not a photograph glued on top, but an image fused into the surface — which is why it holds up well to sun, rain and frost.

We recommend as clear a photo of the face as possible, with good resolution. You can also use an older photograph — if needed, we do discreet retouching, restoration and colorization before production, at no extra cost.
What shapes and sizes do you offer?

Will the photo fade over time?
The image is made to last: we use ceramic decal transfer, fired at over 800°C, and the fired layer holds up well to sun and rain under normal outdoor exposure.
How can I pay?
You pay online by card, on the secure Stripe payment page. Cash on delivery is available only for delivery within Romania.
Can I return a made-to-order product?
Ceramic photos are made individually from your own photograph, so they do not fall under the legal right of withdrawal. Products that are defective or incorrectly made are replaced free of charge.
